Aubrey Otis Washington

Mr. Aubrey Otis Washington age 84, passed away Tuesday evening at his residence. Aubrey was a lifelong resident of Butts County, born on Thursday, November 2, 1939 to the late William Otis Washington and Nina Chamlee Washington.  He had been employed in the trucking business for over 32 years, working as a forklift operator for Carolina Freight and ultimately retiring from ABS Freightliner. He took great pleasure in fishing and just tinkering around the house and he was a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Charlotte Maddox Washington, a son and daughter-in-law; Kyle & Jennifer Washington of Geneva Al, 4 grandchildren; Garrett Washington, Scarlett Caron, Nathan Washington and Braxton Washington, and 3 great grandchildren, his sister & brother-in-law; Fay & John Cross of Jackson and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with his parents he is predeceased by a brother; Lamar Washington.

Private graveside services will be held in the Jackson City Cemetery at a later date.
