Mrs. Pebbles Diane Kersey Smith age 74, of Jackson passed away Friday afternoon, February 23, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her devoted family. Pebbles was born Saturday, May 7, 1949, in Jackson to the late Andrew Van Kersey and Frankie Duke Kersey. She graduated Jackson High School in the class of 67 and she had been employed by the Butts County School System as a para-professional for a number of years. She was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church and a former member of the Exchangette Club of Jackson. Pebbles loved to cook and spend time with her family and friends. She also loved the Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs
Survivors include her husband; Glenn Smith, daughter and son-in-law; Dawn & John Richardson, granddaughters; Skyler & Austin Daniel, Jessica & Becca Hammond, great granddaughters; Blakely Daniel and Baylor Daniel is expected June 30; sister-in-law and best friend; Louann and Mark Cook, sister, Pat Hamlin and her brother and sister-in-law; Eddie and Reba Kersey and special friend, Carolyn Bowden. Along with her parents, Pebbles is predeceased by her daughter, Tammy Smith.
Funeral Services for Pebbles Diane Kersey Smith will be conducted Monday, February 26, 2024, at 3 PM at Sardis Baptist Church, 2021 Keys Ferry Rd, McDonough, GA, Dr. Don Long, Mr. Stephen Cook and Mrs. Dawn Richardson will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 8 PM.
