Mrs. Adrella Albury Sawyer,  age 83 passed away on July 14, 2026 at her residence, leaving behind a legacy of faith, devotion, and quiet strength that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Born on December 22, 1942, to the late Joseph & Marylee Albury in the Bahamas, she carried the warmth, grace, and resilience of her island upbringing throughout her life. She was a woman who valued family above all else and found joy in the simple, meaningful blessings of each day. Her life was marked by kindness, humility, and a steadfast commitment to caring for those around her.

Mrs. Sawyer made her home and built her life as a devoted homemaker, where she poured her heart into creating a loving and welcoming environment for her family. She was known for her gentle spirit. Her hands were often busy with sewing, landscaping, and cooking, and she especially loved spending time with her family and enjoying the company of her grandchildren who brought her great happiness.

She was a faithful member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, where she attended the Ladies Group and shared in fellowship with her Church family. Those who worshiped alongside her will remember her as a gracious presence whose faith was evident in the way she treated people with love and respect.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Sawyer was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Sawyer, who passed away on April 16, 2018.

She is survived by her sons, Matthew Sawyer, Andrew & Stephanie Sawyer. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Makaylin Sawyer, Kiera Sawyer, Tarin Sawyer, Michael Sawyer, and Curtis Sawyer, Jr. Her family was the center of her world, and she took great pride in each of them.

The Family will receive friends Friday, July 24 beginning at 10 AM at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with a service celebrating the life of Mrs. Adrella Albury Sawyer to be held at 11 AM, with Pastor Kevin Riley officiating. She will be laid to rest following the service in the Church cemetery.
