Alvin Franklin Reddick, age 77, of Jackson, GA passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Long Hill, NC June 16, 1939 son of the late Silas Eugene Reddick and Myrtle Odell Taylor Reddick. Al was a veteran, serving in the United States Air Force. He retired from the Valspar division of Mobil Oil. After moving to Jackson Al had several jobs until his total retirement. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in North Carolina. He was a member of the Bush Hill No. 0732 of Masons in Archdale, NC, was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, Valley of Greensboro and was a member of the Oasis Shrine. Al enjoyed playing golf, fishing, yard work and enjoyed most all sports. Other than his parents Al was preceded in death by his step son, Tim Kersey of Jackson.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Ruth Bailey Reddick, children, Albert Reddick, Celeste Boddenhammer, step children, Joe Kersey, Lisa and Dave Stewart, daughter-in-law, Lisa Kersey, grandchildren, Nathan Reddick, Ashley Mize and Anson, Paige Hudson, Ashley Fox and Bearden, Cody Kersey and Susanna, Casey Kersey and Lauren, Joseph Kersey, Tyler Kersey and Kassidy, Samuel and Bailey Stewart, great grandchildren, Caleb Fagan, Ansley Mize, Lili and Bella Kersey and Ace Kersey; brother, Ray Reddick; brother-in-law and sister in law, Dave and Linda Bailey; special niece, Sandy Major and Scott and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Alvin Franklin Reddick will be Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 1:00PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home in Jackson. Dr. Ed Hoard will officiate. There will be a visitation with the family for one hour prior to the service (12 – 1:00PM) at Haisten Funeral Home.
Al will be carried to Cumby Funeral Home, Archdale Chapel in High Point, NC. A graveside service with military honors will be Friday at noon at Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point, NC. Rev. Terrell Watts will officiate.
