Betty (Bishop) Goff

Mrs. Betty Bishop Goff, age 91 of Jackson, passed away early Wednesday morning September 6, 2023, at her residence. She was married to the late Jack Kenneth Goff for 49 years at the time of his death in January of 2002. She was born Friday, July 15, 1932, in Hiram, GA to the late Otis Albertis Bishop and Gladys Levada Canup Bishop. She graduated Hiram High School in the Class of 1950. Mrs. Goff started her career with the Butts County School System as a Paraprofessional and retired 14 years later as Secretary of the Jackson Primary School. She was a member of The Church of Christ in McDonough. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crafting and going to the Senior Citizens Center. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, great granddaughter and great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Goff is survived by her daughters; Pam & Aubrey Maddox, Angela Goff all of Jackson and Shelia Goff Cottingham of Albany, grandchildren; B.J. & Dena Maddox of Jackson, Tara Maddox of Macon, Ken Cottingham of Jackson and Lillian Cottingham of Madison TN, great granddaughter; Madison Maddox, along with great-great grandchildren; Jordan, Aidan, and Ryan Maddox all of Jackson, many nieces and nephews also survive.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Betty Bishop Goff will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, Minister Jeff Wilder will officiate. Interment will follow the Service in the Eastlawn Memorial Park located at 640 McGarity Rd, McDonough, GA.
