Betty Lee Collins Hale, age 87, of Jackson passed away February 2, 2018 at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin. She was born May 3, 1931 in Moultrie, Ga. daughter of the late Isaac Lee Collins and Hilda Herdon Collins. She was married to the late Forrest Dulane Hale. She was a homemaker and was a member of the England Chapel United Methodist Church where she was active in church fellowship and held several administrative positions. She was a member of the American Rose Society and was a certified national judge. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Forrest Hale Jr. and Polly Hale: two grandchildren, Forrest Dulane Hale III, Carrie and Blake Baugus; two great grandchildren, Poppy Baugus and Hazel Baugus. She was preceded in death by her sister, Caroline Jarman. She is survived by her brother, Billy Collins and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Betty Lee Collins Hale will be Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home in Jackson. Rev. Lewis Strickland will officiate with interment in the Towaliga Baptist Church Cemetery with visitation two hours prior to the service.
