Betty Jane (Patrick) James

Mrs. Betty Jane Patrick James, age 92 of Jackson, passed away early Thursday morning, May 1, 2025, at her residence following an extended illness with her daughter and grandson at her side. Betty was born to the late Edwin & Sallie Patrick on Monday, September 26, 1932, in Jackson. Betty had been employed at the Kym Company and American Mills for several years and retired from Dundee Mills with over 20 years of loyal service. She was a member of Second Baptist Church, and she loved to spend her time working puzzles and reading the Bible.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Gayla Towery, her grandson Timothy Lee Towery, Jr. and her great-grandchildren, Mya & Cody Smith, sisters and brothers in law; Martha & Johnny King, Dale & David Fendley, brother-in-law; Jackie James and brother & sister in-law; Victor and Betty James. Betty married Randall James, the love of her life, in 1958 and was married for 44 years at the time of his death in January of 2003. Along with her parents, and her husband she is also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Joe Patrick and John Patrick.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Betty Jane Patrick James will be conducted Monday, May 5, 2025, at 1 PM in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, Rev. Jeremiah Hosford and Mr. Rudy Mangham will officiate. Entombment will follow the Service in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum located in the Jackson City Cemetery. The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Sunday evening, May 4, 2025, from 6 until 8 PM.
