Billy Biles

Mr. Billy Gary Biles, age 84 and a lifelong resident of Jackson, passed away Sunday morning March 23, 2025, at his residence with his loving Family at his side. Born on the Family farm in Jackson on Saturday April 20, 1940, he was the son of Luther Copeland & Sara Frances Polk Biles. Billy spent his entire 84 years on the Family farm. He was a lifelong member of the Macedonia Baptist Church, a devoted Georgia Tech and Atlanta Braves fan, he loved God and sweets. Billy was an excellent Father & Grandfather. After his retirement from Hercules and Pratt Industries where he worked as a dispatcher, he became a full-time hard-working farmer who loved to share the bounty of his garden with friends and neighbors.

Billy married the love of his life Marsha Kay Martin in 1968. They were happily married for 55 years at the time of her death in May of 2024. Together, they had two children, daughter Tammy Biles Hawkins, wife of Thomas Hawkins, and son Bill Biles. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Todd Jones Jr., Ali Burdin wife of Justin Burdin, Josh Jones husband of Kallie Jones, and Will Jones, as well as four great grandchildren Oaklynd Burdin, Barrett Burdin, Billie Kay Jones, and Rowan Burdin, one brother; Larry Biles and two sisters; Jeanette Burel and Peggy Nelson, many nieces and nephews. Billy is preceded in death by his parents; Luther & Sara Biles, and a sister; Margaret Lunsford.

Funeral Services for Mr. Billy Gary Biles will he held, at 3 PM Thursday March 27, 2025, at the Macedonia Baptist Church. Mr. Rudy Mangham and Dr. Ed Hoard will officiate. Billy will be laid to rest in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery following the service. The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 6-8 PM Wednesday evening March 26th.
