Bobby G. Boozer

Bobby G. Boozer, age 81, of Griffin, GA passed away Wednesday evening, September 6, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Marshall County, AL September 9, 1935 son of the late Gilman Leslie Boozer and Easter Louania Johnson Boozer. Bobby was in the United States Army for 2 years and was retired from Georgia Power Company following over 30 years of service. He was married to Joan Faye Willingham until her death in 1992. Bobby was a member of the Yaarab Temple of Shrine in Atlanta. He had resided in Jackson until he moved to Griffin 23 years ago. Bobby was a devout fan of the University of Alabama.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia “Ginny” Boozer; children, Kimberly Lynn and James Elliott, Gina Denise and Tommy Powell, Kristy Diane and Melton Campbell, Jennifer Beth and Keith Cosby, LaVonne and Chuck Booker, Vicki Hickman, Amy and Thomas Slagle; 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Bobby G. Boozer will be Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 3:30PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Dudley will officiate with interment in the Jackson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2:00 – 3:30PM.
