Carole Bond Ridgway, loving wife, mother and grandmother, age 69, of the Towaliga Community of Butts County passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Eternal Hope Hospice in Griffin. She was born in Henry County, GA July 17, 1947 daughter of the late Tom Bond and Reba Morris Bond Jinks who resides at Autumn Village in Jackson. Carole was a 1965 graduate of Jackson High School. She attended Middle Georgia College in Cochran and business school in Atlanta. Carole was a member of Rock Springs Church. She was devoted to her husband and family. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, flowers and looking after others, especially her family. She had worked for the Georgia Prisons, was a former Para-professional at the Butts County Schools, and was a clerk and worker at local flower shops. She especially enjoyed being a homemaker.
Other than her mother, Carole is survived by her husband, Calvin Lanier “Bub” Ridgway, Jr., children, Stacey and Tim Cawthon, Matthew Ridgway and Jennifer, Roman and Michelle Ridgway, grandchildren, Bailey Cawthon, Cameron Ridgway, Hannah Ridgway, Lane Ridgway, Dalton Alley and Cooper Alley; brother, Hugh Bond and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Calvin Lanier “Calboy” Ridgway who passed away January 16, 1976.
Funeral services for Carole Bond Ridgway will be Friday, November 25, 2016 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Dr. Bennie Tate will officiate. Interment will be in the Fellowship Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 – 2:00PM at the funeral home.
