Charles Wayne “Bop” Harper, age 84 passed away at his residence Sunday February 9, 2020. He was born in Elberton, GA to the late Linton Augustus & Emma Jones Harper on October 31, 1935.
Charles “Bop” was retired from General Motors after 30 years of dedicated service. He was a faithful member of the Towaliga Baptist Church and was a former member of the Georgia National Guard and he enjoyed gardening and tinkering.
Charles “Bop” is survived by his wife of 64 years, Claudette Harper, son and daughter in law; Wayne and Tina Harper, daughter; Mindy Harper Scoven, grandchildren; Bradley Harper, Mickey &Topaz Jones, Robin & Graham Davis Brother; Frank Harper. In addition to his parents Charles was preceded in death by his brothers; Steve Harper, Ralph Harper, Carroll Harper & Jack Harper, sister; Frances Harper Thurston.
Funeral services for Charles Wayne “Bop” Harper will be Wednesday February 12, 2020 at the Towaliga Baptist Church at 11 AM, Rev. Paul Zahn, Rev Jay Sanders & Mr. Phil Britton will officiate.
