Charles Elwood Robison Obituary

Mr. Charles Elwood (Charlie) Robison, age 63, a lifelong resident of Butts County died suddenly at his residence Wednesday, December 21, 2022. Charlie was born Saturday, May 23, 1959, to T.E. Robison, Jr. and the late Carolyn Fretwell Robison, also lifelong residents of Jackson.

Charlie was a graduate of Jackson High School where he excelled in sports, lettering in 5 sports his senior year. He then went on to graduate from the University of Georgia. He came back home to work in the family business, Robison Tire and Appliance Co., and later becoming the owner.

Charlie was an avid sports enthusiast and a devoted Georgia Football fan. In his younger days, he enjoyed duck hunting with his Dad, boating, skiing, fishing and riding motorcycles. He loved his family, friends, and all of his furry critters. Charlie loved life!

He is survived by his father; T.E. Robison, Jr., brother; Thomas C. Robison (Mark Wright) of Jackson GA, sister; Janet R. McKibben (Donald) of Salem, VA, longtime devoted and loving partner; Bonnie Harper, 2 nephews; Brandon McKibben (Jamie) of Salem, VA Alex McKibben (Bree) of Goochland, VA, one niece; Kelly McKibben (David Billingsley) of Salem, VA, one aunt; Patricia Fretwell of Athens, GA, a great niece and nephew and several special cousins. Charlie leaves behind many, many dear friends.

Pallbearers; Bill Fears, Burt Jones, Brandon McKibben, Alex McKibben, David Billingsley and Andy Fretwell.

Funeral Services for Mr. Charles Elwood (Charlie) Robison will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, Rev. B.W. (Skip) Mitchell will officiate. The Family will receive friends immediately prior to the Service, beginning at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in the Jackson City Cemetery.
