Charlie Smith

Charles Edward “Charlie” Smith, age 64, of Flovilla, GA passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Atlanta, GA July 29, 1954 son of the late Harold Smith and Willie Jo “Billie” Bailey Smith. He was preceded in death by a brother, Timmy Smith.

Charlie enjoyed fishing and hanging out at High Falls and the Towaliga River. He also worked and operated heavy equipment.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Smith, son, Charles Kiley Scott Smith, and wife, Katey Smith, daughter, Kim Ransdell, granddaughter, Kiley Smith and great grandson, Tobi Smith, Sister, Tamie Jones, Niece, Brandi Austin, and Great Niece, Savannah Austin and several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.

A Graveside service for Charlie Smith will be Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 12:00 Noon in the Jackson City Cemetery. Rev. Gary West will officiate.

His friends called him “Turtle Man”. He made turtle baskets and Dream Catchers.
