Cheryl Darlene Smith

Cheryl Darlene Smith, age 66, of Jackson passed away Thursday December 10, 2020 at Piedmont Newton Hospital. She was born to the late Gerald & Helen Curry Skelton in Porterdale, GA on Friday January 1, 1954.

Cheryl retired from United Bank after several years of devoted service. She was a graduate of South Cobb High School. She loved to travel and savored the time spent with her family.

She will be deeply missed by her husband of thirty years; Morris Smith, children; Angelia & Brooks Cunard, Melanie & Nathan Gattis, six grandchildren; Elizabeth Gilreath, Justin Gilreath, Courtney Stanton, Leland Gattis, Evan Cunard and Miranda Cunard, brother & sister-in-law; Doug & Ann Skelton, sister & brother-in-law; Cathy & Richard Caton, and many nieces and nephews.  Along with her parents, Cheryl is preceded in death by her sister; Shelia Barnes.

Funeral services for Cheryl Darlene Smith will be Friday December 18, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, Dr. Neal Wall and Mr. Douglas Skelton will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday December 17, 2020 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Covington Mills Cemetery in Covington, GA.
