David Richard Cook

David Richard Cook, age 80 of Jackson, passed away late Monday March 1, 2021 at Wellstar Sylvan Grove Hospital.

David was born on Friday, May 10, 1940 in the Ola community of Henry County to the late John Wesley and Sarah Morgan Cook. David served eight years in the Georgia National Guard and was a member of Stark United Methodist Church. He was employed by Central Georgia EMC for 43 years where he worked on power transmission lines. David was a long time member of the Ancient York Lodge #127 in Worthville.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, farming, hunting and fishing.

David is survived by his sons and daughter in law; Ricky Cook and Mike & Shelly Cook, grandsons; Michael Cook and Kevin Cook, great-grandson; Wyatt Cook, sister and brother in law; Joy & Jonny Jones, brother and sister in law; Gene & Shirley Cook and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for David Richard Cook will be Saturday March 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, Rev. Skip Mitchell and Pastor Rick Moncrief will officiate. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The Family will receive friends Friday evening March 5, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Haisten Funeral Home. Please remember to wear mask and observe social distancing in accordance with the CDC guidelines when attending the Service and visitation.
