Debbye Craig Obituary

Deborah Lynn “Debbye” Williams Craig, age 65 , of Jackson, GA passed away Monday evening December 31, 2018.   She was born December 26, 1953 in Griffin, GA daughter of Nellie Ruth Harris Williams and the late Carlton Talmadge Williams, Sr.

Debbye was a sharp dresser, was a Beatle Fan, loved antiques, loved mystery novels and was a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She graduated from Jackson High School in class of 1972 and retired from City Pharmacy and had also worked at C&S Bank and Allied Department Store.

Survivors include her husband, Andy Craig, sons, Joshua Craig and Manuel Flores; sisters; Susan and Ted Strickland, Lee and Richard Williams, Becky Jackson and Eve and Travis Dotson, and her little dog “Fur Baby” and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Sean Andrew Craig, and brothers, Carlton T. Williams, Jr. and Timothy H. Williams.

A Memorial Service for Debbye Williams Craig will be Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 5:00PM in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home in Jackson with Rev. Mike Saffels officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers contributions be made in memory of Debbye to the Amyotropic Lateral Sclerosis ( ALS) (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) c/o Emory University and Alumni Relations, 1440 Clifton Rd. NE , Suite 170, Atlanta, GA 30322.

Haisten Funeral Home of Jackson is in charge of arrangements for Debbye Craig.
