Deborah Louise Cothran (Scooter) Maddox

Deborah Louise Cothran Maddox (Scooter), age 63 of Jackson, passed away Friday afternoon, August 12, 2022, at WellStar Spalding Hospital. She was born to the late Glenn Loyd and Louise Ludlum Cothran on Friday, January 16, 1959, in Atlanta, GA.

Deborah attended Cross Keys High School and was most recently employed at Dollar General, but she will best be remembered as a loving mother and housewife. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Jackson, and she loved taking trips to the beach.

Along with her parents, Deborah is preceded in death by her husband Ed Maddox, who passed away in 2019. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law; Tommy & Jessica Cothran of Conyers, brothers and sisters-in-law; Danny & Yvette Cothran of Cumming and David & Pam Cothran of Monticello, Grandchildren; Tinsley Cothran and Avery Cothran, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service for Deborah Louise Cothran Maddox (Scooter) will be held in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, Wednesday August 17, 2022, at 1:00 PM, Rev. Keith Joseph will officiate. The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Wednesday, August 17, beginning at Noon. Inurnment will follow the Service in the Jackson City Cemetery.
