Dennis Walter Thompson

Dennis Walter Thompson, age 68 of Forsyth passed away Friday December 25, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born to the late Walter & Ida Green Thompson in Tulsa Oklahoma on Saturday December 27, 1951.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife 25 years Sabina Pace Thompson, son; Joseph Thompson, daughter; Sherry Carden and stepson Linton Reeves, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Dennis was the oldest of thirteen brothers and sisters. Along with his parents, Dennis is preceded in death by several of his siblings.

Dennis was a retired over the road trucker. He attended Justin F. Kimball High School in Dallas, Texas. He completed his education after joining the United States Army. He was a decorated Sniper having served three tours in Vietnam and he was the recipient of two Purple Hearts.  His favorite pastime was “picking at his grandchildren”.

Memorial Services for Dennis Walter Thompson will be Saturday January 16, 2021 at 2:00 PM at his residence, 3076 Stokes Store Rd., Forsyth, GA 31029, Mr. Linton Reeves will officiate.
