Dewey Herbert Lassiter

Dewey Herbert Lassiter, age 73, of Flovilla, GA passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 at his residence. He was born January 12, 1943 in Porterdale, GA son of the late Fred Austin Lassiter and Evelyn Juanita Anthony Lassiter. Dewey was a self-employed electrician and plumber. Dewey served in the United States Army from 1960 – 1963 and was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Jackson.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Bedsole Lassiter, and children Ron and Michelle Lassiter, Tina and Wayne Harper, Leigh Ann and Phil Britton; Grandchildren, Jacob Dale Lassiter, Bradley Harper and Reba Lassiter, Great Grandchildren, Judah Lassiter, Laila Lassiter and Julian Cates; sisters, Judy and Ben Pope, Peggy and Merle Price, sister-in-law, Elaine and Don Williams and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Freddy Lassiter and Larry Lassiter.

A Memorial Service will be Monday, September 26, 2016 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Ralph Wilson will officiate. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
