Donald Eugene LaPrade

Donald Eugene LaPrade, age 85, of the Jackson Lake Community, passed away Monday evening, December 7, 2015 at Sylvan Grove Hospital. He was born in Spalding County, GA November 16, 1930 son of the late Bill Tom LaPrade and Nora Elizabeth Allen LaPrade. Don was in the Infantry during the Korean Conflict. He was the owner/operator, along with his wife, of Don’s Sales (wholesale fishing tackle) for many years. Survivors include his wife, Veleta Anne Futral LaPrade; brother, Allen LaPrade of Griffin, several nieces and nephews and a number of special friends, including Lee Page, Glenn and Linda Fell, Kurt Marsh, Alisa Huckaby and Brent Fisher. A graveside service for Donald Eugene LaPrade will be Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 1:00PM at the Jackson City Cemetery. Frank Carson, Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:00AM until 12:45 PM at Haisten Funeral Home in Jackson.
