Dorothy Mae Watson Ridgeway, age 89 of Jackson peacefully passed away late Friday evening March 25, 2022 at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin. She was born Friday October 7, 1932 in Summerville, GA to the late James William & Eulaya Creamer Hatfield. She was a bookkeeper for all of her adult life, retiring from her profession at the age of 72. In her spare time, she enjoyed baking, gardening and working in her yard. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson.

Dorothy is survived by her son; Barry Watson, of Jackson, and daughter; Lori Maubach of Chillicothe, Illinois, 3 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, brother; Tommy Hatfield, sister; Faye Tilman. Along with parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her husbands; Roy E. Watson who passed away in March of 2003 and Harry Ridgeway who passed away in August of 2010, her brothers; Jay Hatfield, Charles Hatfield and her sisters; Mary Hopper, Mary Tilman and Peggy Bryant.

Graveside Funeral Services for Dorothy Mae Watson Ridgeway will be conducted Wednesday March 30, 2022 in the Jackson City Cemetery at 2:00 PM,  Rev. Keith Joseph will officiate. The Family will receive friends at the gravesite, beginning at 1:00 PM.
