Edgar Taylor

Mr. Edgar Taylor, age 91, of Griffin, GA departed this life on Friday, February 5, 2021, surrounded by his family and loving wife of twenty eight years at Eternal Hope Hospice in Griffin, GA.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents Isiah Taylor, Sr. & Cora Ethel Jacobs Taylor, two brothers; Isiah Taylor, Jr. and T.R. Taylor and one sister, Cora Lee Taylor.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dian Taylor, sons; Pete & Linda Whittington, Edgar Wayne Taylor and Nolan Anthony & Connie Taylor, one daughter Gwen & Jack R. McGaha, two  stepsons; Stephen Moulton and Clay Moulton, his brothers, Melvin & Lisa Taylor and Terry & Margaret Taylor.  He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and twenty seven great grandchildren and host of family and friends.

He was a member of Ringold Baptist Church and attended Countyline Baptist Church as well. He worked as a transmission specialist for fifty nine years. ”Paw Paw” as he was affectionately known loved cars, trains, gospel music and his harmonica. He even taught his great grandchildren to play. He left a beautiful legacy for his family. They often talked of his love for God and showing his love for God. He showed his love for others by the life he lived.

Graveside Funeral Services for Mr. Edgar Taylor will be conducted Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Countyline Baptist Church Cemetery in Jenkinsburg, GA. Pastor Rob Rhew of the Ringold Baptist Church will officiate.
