Mrs. Edna Joe Rogers Freeman age 86 of Forsyth and formerly of Jackson passed at the Atrium Hospital in Macon, early Tuesday morning, February 27, 2024. She was born Sunday, December 5, 1937, in Forsyth to the late John Allen Rogers & Edna Ingram Rogers. Edna was a Certified Nursing Assistant with Forsyth Nursing Home before her retirement, she was a proud veteran who had served in the United Stated Air Force. She loved to spend her leisure time cooking and visiting with her family and friends.
Mrs. Freeman is survived by her son; Gary Washington of Jackson, her grandchildren; Rebecca & Kyle Hosford, Laurie Blackmon, Rachael Goodyear, Karla Hilton and Keri Parmele and her sister & brother-in-law; Sandra & Mike Lewis, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Along with her parents she is predeceased by her brother; John Albert Rogers and 2 sisters; Barbara Whittington and Carol Spitzer.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Edna Joe Rogers Freeman will be held in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home Friday, March 1, 2024, at 11 AM, Rev. Keith Joseph will officiate.
