Emma Lou Fincher

Mrs. Emma Lou “Lucy” Fincher, 91 of Jackson died April 11, 2019. She was born May 4, 1927 in Turner County, Georgia to the late Walter Emory and Nannie Bell Ray Watkins. Mrs. Fincher was preceded in death by her husband of 75 ½ years Joel William Fincher, who passed away on March 23, 2019. She worked for many years at Fashion Pillows in Jackson, GA. Mrs. Fincher also served as a Pre-school Sunday School Teacher at First Baptist Church for many decades.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Fincher was preceded in death by her brothers Earn Lee Watkins, Elwood E. Watkins, sister Ruby Watkins Pelt and grandson, Kenneth Wade Rooks.

Mrs. Fincher is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Linda and Robert Rooks, Marsha and Don Knight. She is also survived by her Grandchildren, Jeff and Angela Rooks, Luann and Stan Maddox, Allison and Dennis Shields, six great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation for Mrs. Emma Lou “Lucy” Fincher will be at Haisten Funeral Home in Jackson on Sunday April 14, 2019 from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 15, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Jackson with Rev. Keith Joseph and Rev. Cary Snelling officiating. There will be one hour of Visitation at the Church one hour prior to the Service. Interment will be in the Jackson City Cemetery.
