Mrs. Frances Delores Brooks Ivins, age 86 of Griffin, passed away Friday October 13, 2023, at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin after a lengthy illness. She was born to the late Richard Sherman Brooks and Minnie Lee Holt Brooks on Thursday, August 11, 1937, in Atlanta. She was a homemaker, and she dearly loved her Lord and her family.

Frances is survived by her children: Larry Dean & Darlene Cochran, Wayne Lamar & Jenny Cochran, Pamela Ellen & Jason Powers, grandchildren: Timothy “Shawn” Miller & Amanda Fierro, Jacob Richard Miller & Chasity Cochran, Jessica & Nick Zbikowski, Garrett Chandler Cochran & Leanda Marie Milliman, Tiffany & Sean Woods, great grandchildren Gavin Woods, Landon Woods and her "Sunshine" Kepler Wrenn Zbikowski, her brother; Gene Brooks. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Richard Brooks, Ted Brooks, Ralph Brooks, Margie Daniels, Dorothy Brooks, Joyce Brooks, Barbara Cook and Betty Bass.

In remembrance of Frances Ivins' life, the family asks that a charitable donation be made to Atlanta Animal Shelter | Shelter Donation | Furkids - Georgia’s Largest No Kill Animal Rescue & Shelters in her honor.

The Family will have a "Celebration of Life" service for Mrs. Frances Delores Brooks Ivins at a date and time to be announced later.
