Frankie Duke Kersey,age 91, of Jackson, GA passed away October 19, 2018 at Westbury Medical Care Home in Jackson. She was born in Jackson, GA September 28, 1927 daughter of the late Albert Duke, Sr. and the late Bessie Mae Biles Duke. She was wife of the late Andrew Van Kersey who passed away in 2010. She was co-owner of the Kersey’s Marina on Jackson Lake where she was famous for the Kersey Burger. She was a member of the Jackson First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Pebbles and Glenn Smith, Pat Hamlin, Eddie and Reba Kersey, grandchildren, Melissa and Ashley Barnes, Chris Hamlin, Dawn and John Richardson, Kyle and Amber Kersey and grandson-in-law, Terry McEver; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Tammy McEver.
Ms. Frankie loved listening to Jimmy Swaggert and Charles Stanley.
Funeral services for Frankie Duke Kersey will be held Monday, October 22, 2018 at 3:00PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Dr. Ed Hoard and Rev. Tommy Kennedy will officiate with Entombment in the Jackson Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from one until three pm on Monday.
