Gary Lester Pecht

           Gary Lester Pecht, of Marietta and formerly of Jackson, passed away on June 25, 2026, at the age of 82 surrounded by his loving family

           Gary was born on May 14, 1944, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to the late Mildred Wischmeier Pecht and Clyde Pecht. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1962 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, including service in Vietnam.

          Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He shared 61 devoted years of marriage with his cherished wife, Margaret Vaughn Pecht. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and enduring love.

          In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Jenifer Pecht and Stacy and Holly Pecht; his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Jason Pittman; and his beloved grandchildren, Madison Pecht, L.T. Pecht, Austin Pecht, Harper Pecht, Coleman Pecht, Collier Pecht, Taylor Pecht, Morgan Pittman, Aidan Pittman, and Kaitlyn Pittman.

         Gary will be remembered for his kind heart, friendly nature, unwavering loyalty, and the joy he found in spending time with family and friends. His steady presence and genuine care for others will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

           A graveside service will be held Thursday morning, July 2, 2026. at 11 AM in Stark Methodist Church Cemetery, Rev. Chris Mullis will officiate. The Family will receive friends at their residence Wednesday evening July 1, 2026, between 4 and 6 PM.
