Glenn Loyd Cothran

Glenn Loyd Cothran, age 81, of Covington, GA passed away Monday, June 24, 2019 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital. He was born in Dougherty, GA and was a former resident of Jackson. He was son of the late Loyd W. and Beatrice Beck Cothran.   He was husband of the late Edna Louise Cothran who passed away in 1994.

Glenn was employed by Aramark Uniform Service before his retirement. He had attended Joshua’s Place.

Glenn raced cars in his early life and enjoyed wrestling and gardening and yard work

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Cook Cothran, children, David (Pam) Cothran, Danny (Yvette) Cothran, Deborah Maddox, and Tommy Cothran, step children, Mike Cook and Ricky Cook, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, and other family members.

Funeral services for Glenn Cothran will be Friday, June 28, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Dr. Ed Hoard will officiate with interment in the Jackson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday from 11:00AM until 1:00 PM.
