Obituary
Mrs. Helen Ruth King Payton, age 78, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Westbury Center of Jackson for Nursing and Healing. She was born Tuesday, November 28, 1944 in Nickerson, KS to the late William T. & Evelyn Mauk King. Mrs. Payton was the head Bookkeeper at Farmers Merchant Bank in Oklahoma prior to her retirement and moving to Jackson. She attended The First Christian Church and was a pet lover.
Mrs. Payton is survived by one sister; Donna Faye Combrink of Jackson. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband; Chester Payton, her sister; Alpha Joyce Taylor, and two brothers; Raymond King & Marlon King.
At a later date she will be inurned beside her husband in Oklahoma.
