Helen Jean "Jeannie" Godwin

Helen Jean (Jeannie) Godwin passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Dream Catchers Assisted Living, where she had resided for the last 17 years. Jeannie was born Monday, December 17, 1956, in Atlanta to the late Julian K. Godwin and the late Dorothy Jean Smith Godwin of Jackson. She was of the Christion faith. Jeannie was preceded in death by her brothers; James W. Godwin, Sr., and Julian (Kenneth) Godwin, also her sisters; Wanda Kay Godwin Cook, and Melinda Godwin. Jeannie is survived by her son, Michael (Quincy) Godwin, brothers and sister's in-law, Timothy & Kathy Godwin of McDonough, Tracy & Kaye Godwin of Monroe. Her sister, Sandra. Sauls of Forest Park, sisters & brothers-in-law; Judy & Fred Moore, Deborah & Harry Knisell all of Jackson.

A Memorial service for Helen Jean (Jeannie) Godwin will be held on March 9, 2024, at 12 Noon in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Pastor Jeff Clark will officiate.
