Henry Mike “Bird” Barnes, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023 at the age of 69. Mike had resided at the Westbury Center of Jackson for Nursing & Healing, for the last 18 years. Mike was born Saturday, January 9, 1954 in Jackson, GA. He was the second of two children born to Henry Duffey Barnes and Doris Hardy Barnes. Both of his parents, along with his sister, Sandra Picklesimer, precede him in death.

Mike is survived by his niece; Kim and Paul Matthews of Jackson, great niece; Samantha Matthews, and his great nephew; William Matthews all of Jackson.
