Jacqueline (Jackie) Allen Eidson

Jacqueline Allen (Jackie) Eidson, age 88, of Jackson passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023 at WellStar Spalding Hospital after a period of declining health. Jackie was the daughter of the late John and Odessa Nickels Allen, she was born in Florence, South Carolina on Tuesday, January 15, 1935 and graduated from Grady High School in Atlanta. Jackie was had been employed at the City of Jackson Police Dept. and the Butts County Sheriff’s Dept. for many years before her retirement. She was a loyal member of the Jackson Presbyterian Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son and daughter-in-law; Tommy & Martha Eidson, daughters and sons-in-law; Vickie & Ricky Simmons, all of Jackson Debbie & Jeff Greene of Monticello, nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren along with her brother and sister-in-law; John & Josie Allen of Moreland. Along with her parents, Jackie is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Carl T. Eidson, Sr. who passed away in 2005 and her daughter, Bobbie Whitaker who passed away in 2016.

Funeral Services for Jacqueline Allen (Jackie) Eidson will be held Wednesday, February 8, at Noon in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Mr. Rudy Mangham will officiate. The Family will receive friends immediately prior to the Service at the Funeral Home beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow the Service in the Fellowship Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
