James Connie Lamb

Mr. James Connie Lamb, age 87 of Jackson passed away at his residence Saturday April 13, 2024. Connie was born Saturday, October 10, 1936, in Jackson to the late James & Gracie Lamb. With the exception of a few years when he resided in south Atlanta, Connie was a lifelong resident of Jackson. He graduated College Park High School then began a long career as a sales representative with Link Belt, retiring in the early 2000’s. Connie was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and was an avid golfer, he could be found on the golf course most every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. He was the last surviving charter member of the Deer Trail Golf Club.

Connie is survived by his children, James & Karen Lamb of Palm Coast FL; stepson; Scott McEntyre of Tomball, TX; grandchildren and spouses, Cory & Vera Lamb, Ryan & Melissa Lamb, Hillary & Pedro Caberra, and step granddaughter; Madison McEntyre, 2 great-grandchildren; Everson and Straton.  In addition to his parents Connie is predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Deryle Jean Lamb, who passed away in August of 2023, and his sister; Edwina Beatty.

A Memorial Service for Mr. James Connie Lamb will be conducted Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 11 AM in the Sanctuary of the Macedonia Baptist Church, Pastor Doug McBee will officiate. Inurnment will follow the Service in the Church Cemetery.
