Mr. Jamison William (Jamie) Norsworthy, Sr., age 73 of Jackson passed away late Monday evening, June 3, 2024, at the Eternal Hope Hospice. Jamie was born Wednesday, February 14, 1951, in Griffin to the late Troy & Sylvia Norsworthy.


Jamie was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp serving his tour of duty in the fox holes of Vietnam. After returning home he began a 30-year career at the Warner Robbins Air Force Base where he was a C130 aircraft mechanic. He enjoyed spending his free time camping, fishing, riding his Harley and watching old westerns.


Jamie is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cathy Norsworthy, his son & daughter-in-law, James & Lisa Norsworthy of Canton, a daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Gary James of Jackson, 7 grandchildren; Bryce Norsworthy, Dax Norsworthy, Cai Norsworthy, Harlie Gordy, Addi Norsworthy, Tiffany House and Tina Jones, brother and sister-in-law; Joe & Kathy Norsworthy of Jackson and his sister Janice Norsworthy. In addition to his parents Jamie is predeceased by 2 brothers: Jackie Norsworthy and Johnny Norsworthy.


Funeral Services for Jamison William (Jamie) Norsworthy, Sr. will be held Friday, June 7, 2024, at 11 AM in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, Mr. Rudy Mangham will officiate.
