Jefferson Sandy Pressley Obituary

Mr. Jefferson Sandy Pressley, known to family and friends as Sandy, passed away early Saturday morning, June 20, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was 67 years old and was born on Thursday, December 11, 1958, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Sandy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose life was marked by adventure, hard work, and deep love for those around him. He shared 44 wonderful years of marriage with his wife Kay.

Sandy is survived by his wife, Pamela Karen Crowe Pressley and together they built a life centered on family, loyalty, and lasting memories. He was a proud father to Chris Pressley of Temple, Georgia, Joshua Pressley of Forsyth, Georgia, and Lori Josey of Forsyth, and he treasured each of his children deeply. He was also a beloved grandfather to 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him great joy and pride. Sandy is also survived by his brother, Jack, his sisters, Judy, Jolene, Joyce, Jan along with their spouses. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will remember him with love and gratitude. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ann Pressley, and by two brothers, James Elvis Pressley and Joseph Danny Pressley.

Sandy spent 45 years working as a professional over-the-road truck driver, a career that reflected his strong work ethic, determination, and independence. He took pride in his work and in the many miles he traveled throughout his life. Those who knew him best will remember a man who was adventurous and loving, with a spirit that embraced life fully and a heart that cared deeply for his family and friends.                                   .

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything related to motorcycles. He had a great love of the outdoors and an appreciation for the open road. Sandy lived with a sense of purpose and enthusiasm that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026 from noon until the hour of service at the Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM. in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Dr. Ed Hoard officiating. Burial will be in the Jackson City Cemetery.
