Jerry Macon Hunt, Jr.

Jerry Macon Hunt, Jr., Minister of the Gospel, of Jackson, GA passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017 at the Sacred Journey Hospice in McDonough, GA. He was born in Franklin, GA July 11, 1951 son of the late June Brand Hunt and Jerry Macon Hunt, Sr. who survives. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Cawthon Hunt in 1990. Jerry was a graduate of SW Dekalb High School in 1969 and attended Dekalb College. He was called to the Ministry in 1973 and pastored at Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church in Henry County for the past 28 years.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Renee Hunt; children, Aaron and Rebecca Hunt, Jeremy and Lesli Hunt, Christy Hunt Taylor and Bryan, Charlotte and Steve Lamb, Joshua Allen, William Allen, and Benjamin Allen; his father, Jerry Hunt, Sr., 20 Grandchildren; 2 sisters, June Pitney and Jenny Corley and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Jerry Macon Hunt, Jr. will be Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 1:00PM at the Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church in Henry County, 520 Plantation Rd., McDonough, GA 30252, with the remains placed in the church at 11:30 AM. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00PM. Following the service Wednesday at the church, interment will be in the Cedar Rock Cemetery on Fincherville Rd. in Butts County.
