Kevin Landrell Abbott

 

Kevin Landrell Abbott, age 29, of the Stark Community in Jackson died Friday, January 15th, 2016 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident in Covington, Georgia. Kevin, son of Robert Ricky Abbott and Alma Jeanette Nichols Abbott, was born July 18, 1986, in Griffin, Georgia.

Kevin attended Piedmont Academy in Monticello, Georgia from Kindergarten through high school, graduating in 2004. He attended Gordon College in Barnesville before transferring to the University of West Georgia in Carrolton, where he graduated in 2010 with degrees in Real Estate and Marketing. He was employed with Baxalta Pharmaceuticals as a document control specialist. Kevin loved to fish both as relaxation and competitively, especially with his Dad. He enjoyed playing tournament tennis, and he was crazy for University of Miami football. Kevin loved children and was especially fond of his nieces and nephews, playing just as though he were their age.

Kevin is survived by his parents, Rick and Alma Abbott, grandparents, James and Anna K. Abbott, his brothers, Gregory Nicholas and Michelle Garlin, Isaac Clayton Abbott and Sara, nephew, Nicholas Michael Garlin; nieces, Braelynn Collins, Blakely Collins, Abbigail Garlin, Andrea Schoedel; uncles and aunts, Roger and Sue Abbott, Edward and Judy Rosenblatt Nichols; and several cousins.

Visitation and Rosary Service will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 6 – 8pm at St. Mary, Mother of God Catholic Church, 359 Old Griffin Rd., Jackson, Georgia. Mass of the Resurrection will be Wednesday, January 20th, 11am at St. Mary’s with Father Diosmar Natad officiating.
