Lory Dell Dodd

Funeral service for Lory Dell Dodd, age 85 of Glencoe, AL will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Glencoe Hokes Bluff Funeral Home in Glencoe, AL. Scott Stewart and son, Jeff Dodd will be officiating the service. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time. Burial will follow in Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Cemetery.

Ms. Dodd went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Maurice Dodd; father, Clyde Marion Chambers; mother, Bonnie Jewell Sanford Chambers; daughter-in-law, Cindy Dodd; and sister-in-law, Margaret Chambers.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Jeff (Michelle) Dodd, Jill (Scott) Stewart, and Joey (Christy) Dodd; grandchildren, Justin (Jessica) Dodd, Zachary Dodd, Evelyne Hall, and Jake Stewart; brother, James Chambers (Jeanne); and several nieces and nephews.

Lory was born in Leesburg, Alabama in Cherokee County. She attended Gadsden High School and retired from Gadsden Healthcare. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing card games, especially Rook. Lory had strong Christian Faith and was a member of Glencoe Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Lory will be so greatly missed by all her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice in honor of Lory.
