Louise Mary Beatty, known lovingly as Louise, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, in Jackson, Georgia, at the age of 90.
Born on Tuesday, April 9, 1935, in Buchanan, Georgia, Louise lived a life marked by devotion, hard work, and love for her family. She was the daughter of the late John Henry Woody and Victoria Davis. Throughout her life, she carried herself with quiet strength and kindness, and those who knew her remember her as a loving woman whose presence brought comfort and warmth to others.
Louise was united in marriage to her husband, Hilton Beatty, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Family was at the center of Louise’s life, and she treasured the many relationships that shaped her journey. She is survived by her sons, James Michael Boyd and Larry Eugene Boyd, and her daughter, Doris Drafton. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, April Brownlee and Bo Dean Drafton, as well as her grandson-in-law, Arron Brownlee and great granddaughter Hannah Brownlee. She is also survived by her god granddaughters, Sage Drafton and Journey Drafton, her great-great-granddaughter, A’Rya Bone, her surviving great-grandson, Aiden Brownlee, and her surviving great-granddaughter, Gracie Bone.
Louise worked as a self-employed landscaper, a profession that reflected her appreciation for the beauty of the natural world and her willingness to work diligently with her hands. She took pride in her work and approached life with the same steady dedication she brought to her family and home. Her efforts and example left a lasting impression on those around her, and her work ethic was admired by many.
In her personal time, Louise found joy in gardening, bowling, and spending time with her family. Gardening allowed her to nurture life and beauty, and it was among the simple pleasures that brought her peace and happiness. She also enjoyed bowling, a pastime that added fun and fellowship to her days. Above all, she cherished the moments shared with loved ones, and these times became some of her most treasured memories.
Louise’s life was one of devotion, resilience, and love. She will be remembered for the gentle way she cared for others, the strength with which she met life’s challenges, and the deep affection she held for her family. Her loving spirit touched the lives of many, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Though she is no longer with us, Louise’s legacy remains in the family she helped shape, the values she lived by, and the many lives she blessed along the way. Her long life was a testament to faithfulness, perseverance, and love. Those who were fortunate enough to know her will remember her with gratitude and affection, and her memory will be cherished always.
