Lula Cook

Sarah Lula Bohannon Cook, loving mother and grandmother, age 91, of Marietta formerly of Jackson, GA passed away September 30, 2016 in Marietta, GA.  She was born March 25, 1925 in Butts County, GA daughter of the late Felton Shaw Bohannon and Addie Tolleson Bohannon.  She was married to Harold Eugene Cook, Sr. who passed away in 2006. She was a graduate of Jackson High School.  She was a former employee of the old C & S Bank in Atlanta and Jackson.  She was also a former employee of the School Superintendent in Jackson and Collins Trucking Company.  She was a member of the old Jenkinsburg Baptist Church.  Mrs. Cook moved to Kennesaw and Marietta following the death of her husband.
Survivors include her loving children, Harold Eugene Cook, Jr. and Anne,  Stanley Alan Cook and Barbara, Janice Cook Lee and husband Tommy, Dennis Shaw Cook and wife Susan;  grandchildren,  John Lee, Daniel Lee, David Lee, Alan Cook, Kevin Cook and Brian Cook and several great grandchildren.
Mrs. Cook dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and taking care of others.
Funeral services for Lula Bohannon Cook will be Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 3:00PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home in Jackson.  Rev. Jack Pickel will officiate with interment in the Jenkinsburg Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from Noon until 3:00PM.  Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to the charity of your choice.
