Marcia Lynn Benton

Marcia Lynn Martin Benton, age 72, of Jackson, GA passed away Friday, February 19, 2016 at Spalding Regional Medical Center. She was born in Jackson, GA January 3, 1944 daughter of the late Asa and Imogene Maddox Fears Martin. Marcia was a graduate of Jackson High School. She was employed by the KYM Company in Jackson for 44 years before her retirement. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed growing flowers. Marcia loved working with crafts and going to craft festivals. She enjoyed shopping. She dearly loved her dog Madelynn Pocket.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Donnie Benton, of Jackson; daughter, Selina Lynn Defronzo; step daughter and step son, Lisa Benton and Don Benton; granddaughter, Taylor Nicole Banks, two great grandchildren, Kolby and Tony, half brother, Bret Fears. She has a deceased half brother, Bart Fears. Sister, Pat Ozburn, deceased brother and deceased sister, Mike Martin and Rachel Rooks,  brothers-in-law,  Tony Benton,  William and Libby Benton.

Funeral services for Marcia Lynn Martin Benton will be Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Rudy Mangham will officiate with entombment in the Jackson City Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6-8PM.
