Marian Elizabeth Clark Cardell

Marian Elizabeth Clark Cardell, age 85, formerly of Jackson, passed away at her residence in Dawsonville GA Wednesday morning May 12, 2021 following an extended illness. Marian was born in Sylvester GA, Thursday November 28, 1935 to the late Thomas & Eva Mae Thompson Clark. She was married to the late Johnny Howard Cardell who passed away in September of 2014; they were married for fifty-six years.

Marian retired from American Mills after many years of faithful service as an inspector. She was a graduate of Jackson High School and a member of Sardis Baptist Church where she sang in the Choir before moving to Cumming in 1989 and then to Dawsonville in 2014 to be near her Family. Marian enjoyed word search puzzles and doing needlework.

Marian is survived by her son & daughter-in-law; Chris & Leslie Cardell, of Dawsonville GA,  her daughter & son-in-law; Amy & Keith Summers of Jasper GA, three grandchildren; Christopher Fitts, Jessica Cardell and Spencer Cardell, one great-granddaughter; Constance Marie Fitts. In addition to her parents and husband Marian is preceded in death by her brother; Jack Clark and her sister; Evelyn Vaughn and her nephew; Mike Vaughn.

Graveside services for Marian Elizabeth Cardell will be Saturday May 15, 2021 at 11 AM in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery, Pastor Ricky Bradford will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Graveside, after the Service.
