Mark Wallace Hofmann

Mr. Mark Wallace Hofmann, age 65 of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Piedmont Henry Hospital. Mark was born to the late George Wallace & Jane Ann Burns Hofmann on Thursday, July 16, 1959, in Baltimore MD. He graduated Lake Howell High School in the class of 1977 and later attended Seminole Community Technical College where he earned a degree in Tele Communications. Mark started his business career in the pay phone industry, gradually transitioning to a self-employed businessman where he owned and operated Starfire Automatic Gates and Security for over 30 years.

Mark was a member of St. Mary Mother of God Catholic Church in Jackson where he was active in the Knights of Columbus. He was a passionate NASCAR fan and regular attendee at the races. He took great pleasure in hunting, shooting, taking family RV trips and cheering for Joey Logano and Florida State. He loved to joke and laugh with family & friends. Warm hugs and warm smiles were never far away; he would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. He was also known as “Mr. Fix It”.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Mickie Hofmann, 2 sons; Chris Hofmann and George Hofmann along with 2 daughters; Erin Terhune and Kimberly Key, and his sister, Sondra Bitler.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11 AM in the St. Mary Mother of God Catholic Church on Saturday, May 31, 2025. Father Jose Kochuparampil will officiate.
