Marsha Kay (Neal) Sandridge

Marsha Kay Neal Sandridge, age 70, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Piedmont Henry Hospital. She was born Tuesday, July 15, 1952 in Athens, GA to the late Paul Neal and Betty Guenther. She is preceded in death by her parents as well as her stepfather Hans Guenther, and her brother Leslie Neal. She is the widow of Rev. David Lee Sandridge who passed  away in May of 2006.

Marsha was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson, very active in the Butts County Relay for Life and a double cancer survivor. She had retired as the President of Renewing a Right Spirit Ministries, a position she assumed upon the death of her late husband. Some the things she enjoyed most in life was playing the piano and singing and loving her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Matthew Sandridge of Jackson, sons and daughters-in-law;  David & Cassey Sandridge of Fayetteville and Stephen & Alison Sandridge of Tarzana, California, seven grandchildren; Molly, Jude, Rosemary, Solomon, Gabby, Ruth and Sophie. She is also survived by her brother Greg Neal of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; her sister in law Clietia Neal of Hull, and stepsisters Gisela Hodgson of Athens and Christine Alexander of Savannah.

Marsha Kay Neal Sandridge will lie in state at the First Baptist Church of Jackson on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 beginning at Noon followed by the Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 PM. Her son, Stephen Sandridge, will officiate the service. Burial will follow the Service in the City of Jackson Cemetery. The Family will receive friends Monday evening, September 12, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
