Mrs. Martha Jane Bivens Adcock, age 87, passed away early Tuesday morning, June 23, 2026. She was born on Wednesday, August 17, 1938, and lived a long life marked by love, devotion, and quiet strength. Marty was known by those who loved her as a loving and thoughtful lady whose presence brought comfort and steadiness to her family.

Marty was married to Jack Adcock for more than 65 years, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and enduring commitment. Their marriage was a lasting example of devotion and partnership, and the bond they shared remained a source of strength to her throughout her life. She carried the memory of her husband with deep love after his death in January 2022.
She is survived by her sons, Rodney and Shun Adcock, and Ryan and Julie Adcock, and by her daughter, Denice and Carey Colson. Marty also leaves behind a large and cherished family of grandchildren, including Julia and Mickey Carr, Alexa Adcock, Rebecca and Nathan Evans, Nikki Colson, Sara Colson, Jessica Adcock, Joshua Adcock, and Jeremy and Hannah Adcock. Her legacy continues through her 8 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her great joy and pride.
Those who knew Marty will remember her for her kindness, the thoughtful way she cared for others, and the gentle spirit she carried throughout her life.
The Family will receive friends Saturday June 27, 2026, from 4PM - 6PM at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services for Mrs. Martha Jane Bivens Adcock will be conducted Sunday June 28, 2026, at 3 PM at the Woodland Above & Beyond Church, 2291 North McDonough Rd, Griffin, GA 30223, with Pastor Stuart Boice officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in the Stark Community of Butts County. To express condolences online please visit www.haistenfuneral.com.
