Mary Elizabeth Browning

Mary Elizabeth Humber Jones Browning, age 91, of Jackson, passed away January 4, 2019 at Westbury Medical Care Home.  She was born July 14, 1927 daughter of the late Robert C. Humber and Willie Anthony Humber of Taylor County.  She was also the wife of the late Louie M. Jones and the late Jim Browning. She was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Hancock and great granddaughter Carol Hancock.

Mrs. Browning was a Woman of God, a member of Pleasant Grove Church and faithfully attended the Indian Springs Camp Meeting and Taylor County Camp Meeting.  She was retired from Blue Bird Body Company and volunteered at the ministries of Pleasant Gravo Church

Survivors include her grandson, Christian Daniel and Trudy Hancock of Indiana;  great grandchildren,  Savannah Hancock,  Liam Hancock,  and James Hancock,  step sons,  James C. and Rachael Browning,  Robert and Laura Browning,  Kerry Browning,  Randy and Tracey Browning and their families.

Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Browning will be Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home.  Pastor Ricky Stubbs will officiate with interment in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Fort Valley, GA. at 1:30PM.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 4:00 - 8:00PM. and one hour prior to the service on the 8th.
