Obituary
Mrs. Mary Helen Bennett Cook, age 89, of Jackson passed away early Tuesday morning, July 25, 2023, at Manor Lake Assisted Living and Memory Care Center in Hoschton, GA. She was born Tuesday, April 17, 1934, in Jackson, to the late Marvin Bennett & Evie Lee Sperlin Bennett. Helen was a graduate of Jackson High School and she had been employed at Sylvan Grove Hospital for several years before she continued her career as a homemaker. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Jackson and was married to Ellis Pete Cook until his death in February of 2011 .
Helen is survived by her daughter & son in law; Cindy & Lannie Bittinger of Hoschton, grandson; Clay Bittinger of Phoenix, AZ, great grandson; Easton Bittinger also of Phoenix. In addition to her husband Helen is predeceased by her son; Andy Leon Cook and her sister; Connie Bennett Jones.
A graveside service for Mary Helen Bennett Cook will be conducted Thursday, July 27, 2023, at 11 AM in the Pepperton Cemetery, Pastor Keith Joseph will officiate.
