Mary Ruth Pilcher

Mary Ruth Pilcher, age 78, of Jackson passed away at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital Sunday November 8, 2020 after an extended illness. She was born Wednesday February 11, 1942 in Barnesville GA to the late Willie Taft and Mary Etta McCook Garrett. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed playing cards, board games and reading.

Mary is survived by her children; Patty and Walton Burford, Jeffrey and Jin Pilcher, grandchildren; Dallas and Maggie Cowne, Wesley and Heather Burford, Craig and Alyse Young and Archer Pilcher, great grandchildren; Mora Cowne, Zant Cowne, Emerson Burford, Everett Burford and Ezra Burford, brother; Wesley Ronald (Buck) Garrett and sisters Bernice McGaha and Etta Mae Garrett, brother in law; Wayne & Susie Pilcher, and several nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Henry Grady Pilcher III who passed away in January of 2017, and a son, Henry G. Pilcher IV that passed away in 2013, and 8 brothers & sisters

Private Funeral Services for Mary Ruth Pilcher will be Thursday in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, Pastor Chad Gordon will officiate. Burial will follow in the Covington City Cemetery.
