Mary Eva Weldon Reeves Fordham, age 88, of Forsyth, GA, a former long-time resident of Jackson, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon, GA. She was born in Monroe County February 7, 1930 daughter of the late Francis Marion Weldon, Sr. and Eva Williams Weldon. She was wife of the late William Wayne Reeves and Rev. Gerald Fordham. She was a graduate of Mary Persons High School in Forsyth. She was employed by American Mills in Jackson as a Supervisor for over 30 years. Mary enjoyed working in her yard and hummingbirds. She received “Yard of the Month” in Butts County two times. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed serving others. She was a member of Garden Hills Baptist Church in Forsyth.
She is survived by her children, Alice Faye Reeves Suter, Jack and Reba Reeves, Marion and Fredalyn Reeves, Harry and Sondra Reeves; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mary Eva Weldon Reeves Fordham will be Monday, September 24, 2018 at 2:00PM at First Baptist Church in Jackson. Dr. Ed Hoard and Rev. Charles T. Johnson will officiate with interment in the Liberty Baptist Church in Butts County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6 - 8 PM.
