Melissa Norsworthy

 

Melissa Ann Shattles Norsworthy, age 45, of Jackson, GA passed away in the arms of her devoted husband, Nicky on May 11, 2017. She was born July 23, 1971 daughter of Joel and Vickie Shattles. Melissa was a former server at Denny’s and was a homemaker. Survivors include her loving husband, Nicky Norsworthy; mother-in-law, Willie Norsworthy; daughter, Ali Polk and husband, Jimmy; grandson, Kaiden; son, Bryant Gochnauer; parents, Joel and Vickie Shattles; brothers, Christopher Shattles, Trevor and Carrie Shattles; sister Ashley and Chris Moore, brother-in-law, Tony and Sonja Norsworthy and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Melissa will be Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 11:00AM at the Stark United Methodist Church. Rev. Stephen Soulen and Nicky Norsworthy will officiate.

This has been both a difficult and expensive battle! With that in mind the family requests that in lieu of flowers please send any donations to Stark United Methodist Church in care of Melissa’s Medical Fund, 1097 Halls Bridge Rd., Jackson, GA 30233. The family also requests that any and all come and join them in celebrating Melissa’s life. The only requirement is “a smile on your face and love in your heart”.
